The charitable arm of the IRTA, the Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation, was established in 1985 to provide support to retired educators in need.

Financial Assistance for Retired Educators
The Foundation offers ongoing financial aid to retired teachers experiencing significant financial hardship. This includes monthly support as well as emergency aid when necessary.
