The Foundation sponsors the ICARE Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. This volunteer-based program protects the rights of residents in long-term care facilities.

ICARE provides statewide leadership by developing training materials for the State of Illinois; advocating for changes in laws to improve nursing home conditions and creating a blue and gold looped ribbon symbolizing quality care.
