I CARE PROGRAM

The I CARE Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is sponsored by the Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation.  This program serves residents of long term care facilities and their families in 12 counties in central Illinois by providing direct casework and advocacy activities to ensure quality of care and quality of life for the residents. 

I CARE provides statewide leadership by developing training materials for the State of Illinois; advocating for changes in laws to improve nursing home conditions.
